Berlin-based kinbaku rigger, researcher, educator and performer behind Discover Kinbaku with Natasha NawaTaNeko. Discover Kinbaku says Alexander and Natasha have tied together since becoming a couple in 2011, offer private classes / coaching in Berlin and international workshops, and founded the Kinbaku Society and its Berlin magazine. IKSK describes Alexander Madl as a researcher and kinbaku artist teaching traditional Japanese rope bondage in Berlin and across Europe. Discover Kinbaku frames their work as rooted in semenawa by Akira Naka, with encounters with Naka Akira, Sugiura Norio and Miho Ikeda as key influences; Alexander's 2026 Shibari Studio Berlin interview adds that five years of study with Riccardo Wildties laid the technical foundation of his style.
