Andrea Ropes is a Italian rigger in the Kanna-ryū.

Italian rigger, performer and international shibari teacher from Modena. His own bio says he began rope in 2006, first self-taught, then studying with teachers including Nawashi Kanna, whom he names as his main teacher and inspiration, plus Yukimura Haruki, Hajime Kinoko, Bob RopeMarks, Otonawa and Shigonawa Bingo; Plume Noire additionally lists Ren Yagami among his study influences. From 2015 he made rope a professional practice, teaching and performing across Italy and Europe; his style emphasizes dynamic movement, expressive performance, technical cleanliness, tension control and communication through rope. EURIX 2016 presenter, repeated BoundCon Munich performer in the late 2010s, Shibaricamp 2019 teacher, MoscowKnot performer, and BalkanBound 2025 presenter with AngieZiv; Plume Noire documents Chiara Fenice as his long-term rope partner / workshop collaborator.
