NAWASHI · TEACHER · TRANSLATOR
Argentine kinbakushi, teacher, performer and translator based in Buenos Aires, also known as Camelia. Her KinbakuMania chronology says she started learning shibari with Osada Steve in Barcelona in 2010 and 2011, assisted him as a Spanish translator, then continued a Japan / Europe study path through Yukimura Haruki, Yukinaga Max, Ranki Kazami, Nawashi Kanna and Takumi Miura. She received Osada-ryu 6th kyu and permission to teach basics in 2013, opened KinbakuMania Dojo in Buenos Aires on May 18 2014, was recognized by Yukimura as a student and given the name HaruTsubaki on August 31 2014, and received Osada-ryu 4th kyu in Tokyo in 2014. A 2023 Latin American shibari genealogy paper treats Kinbakumania Dojo's 2014 group classes with Haru Tsubaki / Camelia as a foundational Latin American shibari experience. Later public traces include Shibari Attack, Buenos Aires / La Plata performances, and mainstream film / TV shibari-art collaborations.
