Italian professional rigger, shibari artist and teacher also known as Laodai, a name he says the community gave him while he was living in China. Shibari Study's 2024 podcast bio credits him with founding Studio K, the first shibari studio in Shanghai, and creating Mainland China's first public rope party; it describes his current base as Thailand while traveling across Europe and Asia. His work centers on emotional connection, risk awareness, clean / minimal purpose-driven tying, and the idea that the untying process can be the climax of the connection. EURIX lists Laodai / Davide as a 2023 beginner-course teacher, 2024 special guest, 2025 beginner-course teacher and 2026 master-class teacher.
