Australian-born, Japan-based kinbaku artist, practitioner, performer and teacher. Kinbaku Today's 2019 interview describes her as leaving Australia in 2006, arriving in Japan in 2009, beginning kinbaku at the end of 2010, and becoming known in Japan for dynamic suspension transitions, creative erotic stage work and a separation between stage rope and private kinbaku practice. Her own official site presents Milla Reika as a kinbaku artist / practitioner / performer, with Senkaku Studio and the Kinbaku Diaries online video library. During the 2020 pandemic shift she developed Kinbaku Diaries as a learning-through-observation resource rather than a conventional pattern tutorial.
