Sakurada Denjiro (桜田伝次郎)

Sakurada Denjiro (桜田伝次郎), born 1952, is a Japanese nawashi in the Akechi lineage.

Japanese nawashi and underground-theatre figure. Led the underground troupe Sekai Gekijō (Theater of the World) and established GSG Planning to organise SM shows. In the 1970s formed relationships with Shigeru Kayama, Eikichi Osada, Denki Akechi and Keiyu Tamai. In 1978 met Denki Akechi (with brother Shin Sakurada) at GSG Planning. Opened the small hall Theatre Poo in Shinjuku in 1983. Retired from performing in 1985, after which Akechi Denki took over his shows. The 'Den' in 'Denki' was borrowed from his given name Denjirō.
